The inaugural CCUS Conference Norway 2025, held in Stavanger, brought together key voices from industry, policy, and research to explore the future of carbon capture, utilisation, and storage. Representing ColdSpark®, SEID AS joined the discussion with a clear message: carbon utilisation and carbon storage are not competitors – they are teammates.
The conference brought together key voices and decision-makers to explore the frameworks, strategies, and technological advancements necessary for scaling CCUS across Europe. With Norway as a key player, thanks to its strong industrial ecosystem and established actors across the CCUS value chain, the event created a powerful platform to align regulatory, economic, and innovation perspectives.
Deike Hatscher from SEID AS, ColdSpark® project coordinator, participated in the session dedicated to Carbon Capture and Utilisation (CCU). The session highlighted how CCU fits into the broader decarbonisation agenda, sparking thoughtful debate on how to leverage captured carbon not only for storage, but also as a resource in circular economy solutions.

The ColdSpark team thanks to the organisers from Energy Transition Norway, Stavanger Chamber of Commerce, ONS Foundation, and Stavanger Kommune for the impactful conference.
We look forward to returning to Stavanger for future editions of the CCUS Conference, continuing to share our progress on ColdSpark®’s methane-splitting technology and advocating for the collaborative future of carbon management.
