ColdSpark® made a remarkable impact by winning second place at the prestigious EBA Inspiration Challenge during European Biomethane Week. This achievement recognises the innovative impact of ColdSpark®’s transformative Cold Methane Pyrolysis process. Represented by Terje Hauan, ColdSpark®’s project coordinator, the technology stood out, capturing the attention and votes of attendees for its potential to reshape the biogas and hydrogen industries.
A key highlight of ColdSpark®’s presentation was its planned upscaling in Sweden’s Siljan Ring, a unique site offering an ideal, large-scale testing ground for ColdSpark® technology.
The EBA Inspiration Challenge brought ColdSpark® together with other impressive finalists, including Nutrient Catchers by NPHarvest, Salamandre by ENGIE, Stimulose by Sixring, Alliance by PRODEVAL, and the Zero Emission Gas Sampling System VINCI Energies, creating a valuable opportunity for networking and collaboration.
Supported by the European Commission and the European Biogas Association, the event showcased projects dedicated to reducing environmental impact and enhancing biogas sustainability.
