ColdSpark® participation at EUBCE 2025: Advancing Sustainable Biomass Energy and Carbon Valorization

We are excited to announce that the ColdSpark® project will be showcased at the Global Summit on Non-Renewable and Renewable Energy, scheduled for June 16-18, 2025, in Rome, Italy.
This summit is an important event in the energy sector, bringing together leading researchers, industry experts, policymakers, and enthusiasts to shape the future of energy sustainability. The conference will feature dynamic presentations, insightful discussions, and interactive workshops, delving into the latest innovations and trends across both non-renewable and renewable energy domains.
The Global Summit on Non-Renewable and Renewable Energy 2025 offers an exciting lineup of topics that resonate closely with the ColdSpark® project’s mission of driving innovation in sustainable energy. Key sessions that align with the project’s objectives include:
- Hydrogen and Its Role in the Future Energy Mix which is in line with main objective of ColdSpark® efforts to revolutionise sustainable hydrogen production through Cold Methane Pyrolysis.
- Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage – a critical topic addressing climate goals and an area where ColdSpark® can controbute by producing value-added carbon materials alongside hydrogen without direct CO2 emissions.
- Circular Economy in Energy Systems: emphasising the reuse and recycling of byproducts, this theme aligns with ColdSpark®’s dual-output approach, producing clean energy and value-added carbon materials for diverse applications.
ColdSpark® project will be introduced during a plenary session, where Michael Koettner from IBBK will deliver an insightful presentation titled “Production of Solid Carbon and Hydrogen from Biomethane Using Non-Thermal Plasma.” This session will showcase ColdSpark®’s pioneering approach to sustainable energy, highlighting its potential to revolutionise biohydrogen production while generating valuable solid carbon materials.
