The ColdSpark® project is organising a workshop on sustainable hydrogen that will be held on June 15, 2023, at 10:00 BST (11:00 CET), in Liverpool, UK, offering both in-person and virtual attendance options.
The workshop will start with a presentation by the project coordinator, Terje Hauan, outlining the SEID AS mission and vision, along with a general overview and progress of the ColdSpark® project. Ideas for the exploitation of the project’s results will be discussed, followed by a Q&A session.
Following the coordinator, the University of Liverpool (UoL), the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), the University of Stavanger (UiS), NORCE, Europroject (EP), and the IBBK – Biogas Network will introduce their organisations and projects, explain their roles within ColdSpark®, and present their ideas for exploiting the project’s results.
In a third and especially important part of the webinar, Michael Köttner from IBBK Biogas Network will provide a comprehensive overview of the European Biogas and Biomethane market and its future developments. He will introduce the participants to biogas plant technology, including details on the digestor design, crucial equipment, and feedstock choice and preparation. Furthermore, the state of technology for biomethane upgrading will be compared to different technologies, focusing on the level of purity needed for hydrogen production.
This workshop is an opportunity for energy professionals, researchers, politicians, and citizens to gain insights into sustainable hydrogen production and the latest technological advances in this critical field.
